Wickes Class Destroyers
The Wickes Class Destroyers
were the first of the famous mass produced flush-deckers of the First
World War, and the only type to see active service during that war.
Along with the Clemson class they provided the bulk of the US destroyer
force during the inter-war years, and many survived to play varied
roles during the Second World War.
