Saladin's Holy War of 1187-1192
Saladin's Holy War of 1187-1192

a crushing defeat on the Crusaders at Hattin, capture Jerusalem and
conquer most of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and then successfully defend
most of those conquests against the forces of the Third Crusade led by
Richard the Lionheart, king of England.
