Field Marshal August Wilhelm Anton, Graf Neithardt von Gneisenau (1760-1831)
was one of the main Prussian military reformers after the disasters of
1806, but is most famous for his role as Blücher's chief of staff in
the campaigns in 1813, 1814 and 1815.
