A valuable study of the performance of a series of US generals, from
Eisenhower, through the various levels of command down to Divisional,
during the battle of the Bulge, the biggest single American land battle
of the Second World War. Benefits greatly from the author's willingness
to choose officers whose performance was less than impressive as well
as those who shone during the battle. Includes some very useful debates
on the bigger controversies of the battle
