Part two of this unit history looks at the Sherwood Rangers' time as a
active combat unit, as cavalry in the Boer War and First World War and
as an armoured unit during the Second World War. Starts a little dry,
but becomes increasingly interesting as it goes on, and especially
during the Second World War, where the unit fought at El Alamein,
operated DD tanks on D-Day and fought alongside US troops during
Operation Market Garden
