A Class Destroyers of 1912
The A Class Destroyers of 1912
was the designation given to the surviving ‘27 knotters’, the second
generation of British destroyers, in 1912. By the outbreak of the First
World War they were almost obsolete, but many served for most of the
war, normally with the various defensive flotillas scattered around the
British coast.
