At War with the 16th Irish Division 1914-1918 - The Staniforth Letters, J.H.M. Staniforth.
A fascinating collection of letters written by a Yorkshire-raised
officer who served in Irish units during the First World War, entering
the army as a private before quickly becoming an officer. Includes some
very vivid descriptions of the battlefields of the war, in particular
the Somme, with scales given using the northern fringes of the North
York Moors.
