Richard Neville, fifth earl of Salisbury (1400-1460),
was an important northern landowner who became a key support of
Richard, duke of York, early in the Wars in the Roses, but who was
killing after the battle of Wakefield and was overshadowed by his more
famous son, Warwick the Kingmaker.
